OBITUARY.-We notice, in the Buffalo EXPRESS, the death of John W. Ball, brother of E. H. Ball, Esq., of this city. The deceased was well known in all our lake cities as one of the firm of Hart, Ball & Hart. He came to that city a mere lad, and engaged himself to the firm of Hubbard & Hart, and on attaining his majority was admitted a joint partner. Since their death he continued business with the sons of those gentlemen, and, by strict application, gained the confidence and esteem of a large circle of acquaintances. He leaves a wife to mourn the loss of a devoted husband, and three children too young to realize their great loss. He also leaves an example to young men who by honestly and faithfully performing the duties of life may receive a due degree of reward.
