We have had the most sudden shower I have seen since we started. Camilla had just dressed herself for Sunday by putting on clean clothes, a light gingham dress, white stockings, and low shoes. She had put their bed and some other things out to get dry. Mrs. Godley had lots of things out drying, and the Hills had unloaded the provision wagons to dry and air the provisions which had become damp during the many showers we had. James and Phil had gone some distance to the water to wash some wrappers. I was undressed in the tent washing myself and cleaning up. The sun was shining brightly and not the least appearence of rain to those who were not looking all around. Camilla was outdoors and said she looked off in one direction and thought to hersclf there might be a shower after a while, and after she had finished what she was doing she would bring in her things so that she would not have to hurry when the shower came, if it did come at all.
