The companion display for this Digital History Project can be found in its entirety on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in the Home Economics Building on the 2nd floor until mid-July, 2011. The educational display is an overview of the information found throughout this digital project. The reproduction garments supplement the research findings of this project and also allow a further visual understanding of the styles of dress and sunbonnet written about in mid-nineteenth century trail diaries. The display may travel to other historical venues at a further date.
The reproduction garments and antique sunbonnet are interspersed with textual didactics, a map published by the Oregon and California Trail Association, a smale scale covered wagon and four framed William Henry Jackson postcards.
